Paul Colbert


The Rev. Paul A. Colbert serves as EPF's treasurer, now in his second stint on NEC (previously from 1993-99). Paul has held lengthy careers in engineering & public health (including in Yemen, Sudan, Tanzania and Kenya); non-profit administration (including as a HUD housing counselor and as program director for the Nevada Desert Experience); and as an Episcopal priest.

Paul was ordained in Las Vegas in 2003, where he remained in bi-vocational ministry (helping coordinate nonviolent interfaith protest activities around the Nevada Test Site) until he moved to the Diocese of San Joaquin in 2008 to help rebuild several congregations following the schism there and serving as a deputy to General Convention. He later served in ministry in the Diocese of Northern California. He is now based in Claremont CA with his spouse Becky Goodwin, a retired UMC pastor, living at Pilgrim Place, an intentional retirement community that shares values of peace, justice, and environmental concerns.
