Leyla King


The Rev. Leyla K. King is a Palestinian-American Episcopal priest, author, wife, and mother. As a cofounder of Palestinian Anglicans and Clergy Allies she helps to provide a voice for Palestinian Christians in The Episcopal Church and beyond. And as a founding member of the Small Churches Big Impact Collective, she works to identify and amplify the beauty and grace of small congregations.

Ordained as an Episcopal priest in 2009, she currently serves as the Canon for Mission in Small Congregations in the Diocese of West Texas. Leyla lives in Austin with her husband, Ben, and their three children. She is the author of one book, Daughters of Palestine: A Memoir in Five Generations, and she writes about her experiences as a Palestinian clergywoman at thankfulpriest.com.
